What is National Tile Week?

British Ceramic Tile is sponsoring the UK’s first ever National Tile Week, 11th-18th April, so what is it all about and what does it mean for retailers? Jayne Adamson, marketing manager for British Ceramic Tile tells us everything you need to know:

What is National Tile Week?

National Tile Week is a nationwide celebration of tiles, aiming to educate consumers on the quality and versatility of tiles and how they can be used throughout the home.

Why National Tile Week?

Tiles can often be the last thought when planning a interior design or renovation project, so through National Tile Week we want to make them just as important as all the other items shopping list. Just in time for the double May bank holiday where consumers do the most DIY of the year, National Tile Week aims to equip retailers with all the information their customers need to feel confident when choosing and laying tiles, boosting sales in this key period.

What’s in it for retailers?

Retailers invited to take part in the first ever National Tile Week will receive exclusive promotions and deals throughout the week, as well as the chance to earn extra British Ceramic Tile Rewards Club points. Retailers will be encouraged to pass on these discounts to their customers to help drive sales at this key time of year, and will receive a raft of in-store materials full of top tips on tiling from British Ceramic Tile’s experts.

And finally…

National Tile Week is a huge step for the company and the tile industry itself. It’s a week solely aimed at celebrating tiles in all their glory and with the help of our loyal retailers, we hope to help educate the public on the versatility and usability of tiles in the home. It’s an unmissable opportunity for all.
