Last week the London Hub had the pleasure of hosting the Trend Edit for 2017/18, a two day event where journalists, designers and architects met with Claire O’Brien the Head of Design at British Ceramic Tile.
The first-day journalists from leading architectural and design titles met with Claire, each individual had a dedicated consultation to guide them through the 2017 trend boards.
They learned how she gathered her ideas and inspirations and converted them into the new tile ranges. From Industrial Elegance to Sumptuous Surfaces, Claire explained how each trend was very different and that 2017 would see many new trends developing over the coming year.
Design and product development is a journey, a creative thought process where you investigate options of outcomes. The most productive way to do that is share those ideas with others, find common interests on visual direction and enjoy the resulting energy, enthusiasm and passion we all have surrounding our various disciplines of Design. – Claire O’Brien the Head of Design.
As well as journalists looking to feature the Trend Edit in their publications, we were also delighted to welcome interior designers and architects from practices local to the Clerkenwell area, who were keen to find out more about the Trend Edit and meet with Claire.
Over the two days, we had a great turnout, our visitors were very impressed and thought the Trend boards were outstanding.
The Trend Edit for 2017/18 is now permanently on display at the London Hub, we hope you are able to come and enjoy it. We would be happy to discuss further and guide you through it. If you have a number of colleagues who would like to meet and discuss the Trend Edit with Claire in person please do not hesitate to contact us at the London Hub.
